Hold on Tight is Coming Soon!

hold on tight

Thanks so much for those of you who have followed the stories in the A Lot Like Love series. The last book in the trilogy, Hold on Tight, releases May 22.

I had so much fun giving Marcus his happy ending. I really love this guy.

Preeti Basu has always been able to get any guy she wants. After an attack threatens to shatter the confidence that defines her, she sets her sights on the man who saved her from her nightmare. But seduction is much harder when her target is more interested in getting into her heart than her pants.

Marcus Hunter is a gentleman of the first order with old fashioned values and the heart of a romantic. A heart still mending from a recent break-up and a crash that made a wheelchair part of his life forever. The last thing he expects is to fall again so soon, but some fires burn too hot to be denied.

And sometimes, the nice guy really can get the girl.

What’s happening with book 3?

The first draft is done. I had so much fun writing this one, mostly because it was Marcus’s book and who doesn’t love Marcus? Really.

Right now, it’s in the hands of some beta readers and then it needs go through editing. But I am planning to publish by the summertime.

Did I mention I have a title? It’s called Hold on Tight. You can add it to your Goodreads TBR now.

Never Let Go is in the wild!

It’s been a crazy few weeks, but I am excited to say Never Let Go is finally out in the wild. A handful of reviews are in, and I so appreciate the bloggers willing to take a chance on my books!

For those of you who don’t know, this book is a bit of a love triangle. That means someone doesn’t get the girl. But I am already hard at work on book 3, so I can promise you that, eventually, everyone gets a happy ending.

No title on book 3 or release date just yet, but I hope to have it out this summer. I’ll keep you posted.

Book 2 has a blurb!

I’m sorry I haven’t been great about posting here, but I’ve been hard at work on book 2, which now has a name and a blurb! It’s called Never Let Go and it’s a continuation of Luke and Evelyn’s story.

After a devastating loss, Evelyn Sanders and Luke Rogers think the worst is behind them. They’re starting college with the world at their feet. But dreams of football glory and a happily ever after are shattered when past secrets blow up in their faces. They could have had it all, but some betrayals may be too much to forgive.

Every day it gets harder for Luke to control the rage growing inside him. Forged by his dark past, he’s determined to turn himself around before he becomes the very thing he despises. He won’t quit until he makes himself worthy of the woman he loves. But can he do it before she gives her heart to someone else?

There’s another man waiting in the wings. One who’s loved Evelyn as long as he has. One who has never hurt her. And Marcus is done waiting. Only Evelyn can decide if her future lies with her high school sweetheart or the guy who wants to mend her broken heart.

No cover art yet, but I hope to have that soon. I can’t wait until I can share this book with you!

A great year of reading

Long before I ever considered trying to write, I lived in the world of books. Reading is hands down my favorite pastime and 2016 brought some fantastic reads.

promise-of-fireI love romance of all kinds as well as urban fantasy. If you didn’t pick up A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet, I highly recommend you try it. I really enjoyed the heroine and the fresh feel of the worldbuilding.  Another great UF read: Magic Binds by the incomparable Ilona Andrews. The Kate Daniels series is the best Urban Fantasy series out there.

On the Historical Romance side, I loved Tessa Dare’s Do You Want to Start a Scandal. It’s so funny and engaging. I really loved Elizabeth Hoyt’s Duke of Pleasure too. Her Maiden Lane books are always a hit for me.

What about you? What fabulous books have you read in 2016?

Getting back to normal

Let me start by saying I’m so grateful to everyone who has added Feels Like Forever to their Goodreads shelves. It means so much to see my book in someone’s TBR! I can’t wait to see what you think when you have the chance to read it.

It’s been a hectic few weeks at my house! Hardly any time for writing or reading, unfortunately. Like so many other Americans, I celebrated Thanksgiving with the family, which meant a mad scramble to get the house clean, followed by a week of entertaining, then finally returning to my day job.

Things are starting to return to normal, though. I hope I can get back to writing some over the weekend, but I also have an Ilona Andrews book waiting on the horizon, so it may be difficult to focus. What books are waiting in your TBR that excite you?
